Kolo appoints Rogier van der Wal as Chief Revenue Officer to drive its next phase of growth
- News

Kolo is pleased to announce the appointment of Rogier van der Wal as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), strengthening the company’s commercial leadership as it enters its next phase of growth and expansion across Northern Europe.
The newly created CRO role marks an important step in Kolo’s development. As the company continues to grow its platform, customer base and geographical footprint, Kolo is investing in its commercial capabilities to accelerate sustainable growth and further strengthen its position in the Northern European data center market.
Strengthening Kolo’s commercial leadership
As demand for resilient, scalable and connected digital infrastructure continues to grow, Kolo sees significant opportunities to expand its customer base and develop new markets and partnerships.
As Chief Revenue Officer, Rogier will lead Kolo’s Sales & Marketing organisation and oversee the company’s commercial strategy.
His focus will be on accelerating revenue growth, strengthening Kolo’s go-to-market approach, deepening customer relationships and identifying new commercial opportunities. He will also play an important role in supporting Kolo’s continued expansion across Northern Europe.
The creation of the CRO position reflects Kolo’s evolution as a business. With a strong operational foundation and an established presence across several Northern European markets, the company is now strengthening its commercial organisation to support its next stage of development.
What this means for our customers
For customers already working with Kolo, the appointment means increased senior focus on the commercial relationship across the Kolo platform. Customers continue to work with their local Account Manager day to day; Rogier’s role is to strengthen how Kolo supports its customers commercially across markets and to keep our go-to-market approach aligned with how their requirements evolve.
For enterprises evaluating Kolo, it means a commercial organisation built around how digital infrastructure is increasingly designed, deployed and bought today: multi-site, cross-border and interconnected. As requirements extend across environments and markets, customers need a colocation partner that can support that architecture across Northern Europe and scale with them as their needs change.
Bringing extensive digital infrastructure experience
Rogier brings more than 25 years of experience across the technology and digital infrastructure sectors.
Throughout his career, he has held senior commercial, Sales and Marketing leadership positions, including at Interxion and Digital Realty. His experience spans data centers, cloud services, enterprise technology and complex B2B customer environments across European markets.
His extensive industry knowledge and commercial leadership experience will bring valuable perspective to Kolo as the company continues to develop its customer offering, expand its market presence and pursue new opportunities.
“Enterprises are rethinking their IT strategies around sovereignty, sustainability, resilience and flexibility. As Northern Europe becomes more economically integrated, they also need infrastructure that can support workloads across borders. Kolo DC’s Nordic Interconnect colocation platform is designed for precisely this environment — helping enterprises connect public cloud, private infrastructure and edge capacity while maintaining control over their data, costs and operations.”
— Rogier van der Wal, Chief Revenue Officer, Kolo
Building on a strong foundation
Kolo has established a growing data center platform across Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands, with its headquarters in Luxembourg.
The company provides colocation and digital infrastructure solutions to customers operating in an increasingly connected and data-intensive environment. With the continued growth of cloud computing, AI and digital services, the demand for high-quality, scalable and resilient data center infrastructure is creating new opportunities across the region.
Kolo’s next phase is about building on the foundation already established: growing its customer base, developing new opportunities, expanding its platform and continuing to strengthen the capabilities needed to support customers as their infrastructure requirements evolve.
Backing long-term growth
Kolo’s growth is supported by its shareholder and investor, CapMan Infra, which is committed to the continued development and expansion of the platform.
With CapMan Infra’s backing, Kolo continues to invest in its people, infrastructure and capabilities, enabling the company to pursue its long-term ambitions and strengthen its position in the Northern European data center market. For customers, this support enables Kolo to continue investing in infrastructure and capacity over the long term.
The appointment of a Chief Revenue Officer is an important part of this continued development, adding further commercial leadership and expertise as Kolo enters its next chapter.
Looking ahead
Rogier’s appointment comes at an exciting time for Kolo.
The company has built a strong platform, a growing customer base and an experienced team across Northern Europe. The next step is to build on that momentum and turn the opportunities ahead into sustainable, long-term growth.
We are delighted to welcome Rogier to Kolo and look forward to building the next chapter of the company’s growth together.
