Kolo Data Center Facility House Rules
The following rules and guidelines (the “House Rules”) apply to all clients and their authorized personnel accessing the Company’s data centre facilities. These rules are designed to ensure a safe, secure, and efficient environment for all users.
1 Compliance with House Rules:
The Client agrees to comply with the Company’s Data Centre Facility House Rules at all times. The rules may be updated periodically to reflect changes in industry standards, legal requirements, or operational needs. The Client must stay informed of any updates, which will be communicated via the Client Panel or email notification.
Non-compliance with these rules may result in the suspension of access rights, temporary removal from the premises, or termination of the Agreement as specified in Article 13.4.
2 Professional Conduct and Confidentiality:
The Client is expected to conduct themselves professionally and respect the confidentiality of the data centre environment. Specifically:
- Only authorized personnel may access the Client’s equipment; unauthorized individuals are strictly prohibited.
- Clients must not interfere with, access, or attempt to modify other clients’ equipment or data.
- Any form of surveillance or monitoring (e.g., cameras, recording devices) is strictly prohibited unless authorized by the Company in writing.
3 Access and Safety Requirements:
The Client must adhere to the following safety protocols:
- Pre-registration of Visits – All visits must be registered in advance via the Client Panel. Unannounced visits or unauthorized personnel will not be granted access.
- Identification – All individuals must carry a valid government-issued ID and present it upon request by the Company’s staff.
- Safety Compliance – The Client must follow all safety guidelines, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required. Non-compliance may result in restricted access.
4 Equipment Installation and Maintenance:
The Client is responsible for the proper installation and maintenance of their own equipment, following manufacturer guidelines and data centre standards.
- Power Supply – Only designated power supplies must be used. Any tampering with power infrastructure is strictly forbidden and may result in immediate suspension of services.
- Compliance with Standards – All equipment must meet industry standards for fire safety, electromagnetic interference, and electrical safety.
- Reporting Issues – Any incidents, defective equipment, or safety concerns must be reported immediately to the Company’s on-site staff.
5 Prohibited Actions:
The following actions are strictly prohibited within the data centre facilities:
- Bringing in hazardous materials, including liquids, explosive substances, or flammable items.
- Smoking or using electronic cigarettes inside the premises.
- Filming, taking photographs, or using audio recording devices without prior written permission from the Company.
- Accessing or altering floor tiles, cabling, or any infrastructure components outside the Client’s designated area.
- Allowing unauthorized individuals to use the Client’s access card or granting access to restricted areas.
6 Access Card Policy:
The Client must adhere to the following rules regarding access cards:
- Issuance – Access cards are issued to authorized personnel only after verifying their identity via the Client Panel.
- Personal and Non-Transferable – Access cards are personal and must not be shared. The Client is responsible for safeguarding their access cards and reporting any loss or theft immediately.
- Access Hours – Physical access to the colocation space is permitted during office hours. For access outside office hours, a personal electronic key pass is required.
- Revocation – The Company reserves the right to disable or revoke access cards in cases of policy violations, security concerns, or upon the termination of the Agreement.
7 Emergency Procedures and Evacuation:
In the event of an emergency, all Clients must follow the Company’s evacuation procedures and comply with instructions given by on-site personnel.
- Evacuation Routes – Emergency exits and evacuation routes must be kept clear at all times.
- Fire Alarms – In the event of a fire alarm, the Client must immediately cease all activities and evacuate the premises in an orderly manner.
- Safety Drills – The Company may conduct regular safety drills. The Client is required to participate and ensure that their personnel are aware of emergency protocols.
8 Compliance and Enforcement:
The Company reserves the right to monitor the Client’s activities within the data centre to ensure compliance with the House Rules. Any violation of these rules may result in:
- Warning or Suspension – Issuance of a warning or temporary suspension of access rights.
- Fines or Penalties – Imposition of fines or penalties for serious breaches, such as tampering with infrastructure or unauthorized access.
- Termination of Agreement – Immediate termination of the Agreement for severe or repeated violations, as specified in Article 13.4.
9 Updates to House Rules:
The Company may update these House Rules periodically. The Client will be notified of any updates via the Client Panel or email. Continued use of the Company’s facilities following an update shall be deemed acceptance of the revised rules.
