“It’s informal, professional, and full of variety, you’re never bored at Kolo.”
No two days look the same in my role, and that’s exactly what I enjoy about it. The mix of tasks keeps things interesting, and I work with a team that genuinely looks out for each other. It’s an informal atmosphere, but make no mistake, it’s highly professional. People here know their stuff, and we count on each other to get it right.
I’ll be honest: I haven’t had as much time as I’d like for formal training or courses. But I’m hopeful we’ll carve out space for that soon, because this industry moves fast. There’s always more to learn, especially when it comes to designing and running top-tier data centers, and staying on top of developments is part of what makes this field exciting.
What makes it work, day to day, is teamwork. This isn’t a place for solo players, whether it’s solving a technical issue or closing a deal, we rely on each other’s input and expertise. And when someone needs help, people step up. That sense of unity is something I really value.
One project that stands out was the chance I had to support our operations and facilities team in the Netherlands. It was both an honor and a really rewarding experience for me, being able to contribute beyond my usual scope reminded me why I enjoy this work so much.
I see my role as contributing to the bigger picture, sharing what’s working, what isn’t, and helping shape how we move forward. It might not always be flashy, but that feedback loop is important.
If you’re considering joining Kolo, don’t hesitate. It’s interesting from day one, and if you like variety, teamwork, and real responsibility, you’ll fit right in.
